What's On
Bree Sarah Bella is an emerging contemporary artist whose captivating creations have quickly gained recognition. Residing in the Northern Beaches, Bree was always passionate about art and design during her younger years and reignited the flame during lockdown by painting on live streams. Today, Bree’s artistic vision can be felt in every creation she puts out, with each piece being a characteristic work of art that stands out for many reasons.
What inspires her art is both deeply personal and incredibly complex. Combining traditional painting techniques into unique abstract compositions. Bree creates works that speak directly to how she feels about life, from its joys to its many uncertainties. Her work effortlessly radiates an individualistic scope that resonates on multiple levels allowing viewers to connect with it in ways that are meaningful for them.
Bree’s upcoming exhibition titled “It’s Just a Phase” will explore the idea of defining moments in life that can either be seen as obstacles or opportunities depending on how you choose to look at them. In true Bree fashion she brings those ideas to life using vibrant colours and iconic Pop Culture characters.
In preparation for this exciting event, Bree has been pushing herself creatively while also interacting with her fans on social media channels like Instagram (@breesarahbellaart) and Tik Tok (@breesarahbella).
So if you’re looking for vibrant pieces full of emotion; make sure to check out Bree Sarah Bella’s latest exhibition “It’s Just a Phase” !”

NSW State Election AKA Dom’s Retirement Party
Politics is always better with alcohol, so this Saturday we’re going to have the results of the NSW state election available for all, playing in our Gallery Lounge bar so that you can be both informed and entertained together at Meraki!
After all these years, will tonight let us celebrate the fruits of our Labour? Will the incumbent be able to pull off a miracle in the (Domi)nic of time? Are we finally mere Minns away from a change in government?
You’ll find out the answers to these, and other questions at our completely politically neutral watch party of the NSW State Election AKA Dom’s Retirement.

Welcome to Sydney’s best, liveliest and most exciting Karaoke night presented by Keys and Crash! Jonathon Holmes is your host for the evening: An accomplished composer, librettist, pianist, director and actor from Sydney.
He released his debut piano-pop EP ‘Plutonese’ in 2014; and four singles since then. Refusing to grow up, he is the host and pianist of ‘Mickey’s Jazz Club’, swinging Disney songs, and Jonathon is a human jukebox in his piano-drum duo ‘Keys & Crash’, playing for Carnival Cruise Line and The Star Sydney.
Entry is cheap, the song-list is massive (over 2,000!) and there’s no feeling like being backed by a LIVE band while you bust your tunes out, so come along to our Gig Bar on Saturday nights for the best weekly party in town.
*ACCESSIBILITY: The Gig Bar level of Meraki is on the first floor, and is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible at present. It is accessed via one set of stairs which include a handrail.

Gallery Exhibition: Sophia Lee Georgas Dream Series
Our new visual art exhibition this week is from Sydney artist Sophia Lee Georgas. Her ‘dream series’ will be on display and available for purchase from Tuesday 28th March until Saturday 1 April.
The free exhibition launch event will be from 5pm on Tuesday 28th, so come along and enjoy Sophia’s works alongside our brand new weekly house cocktail menu… and then stick around for our Tuesday evening Live Jazz in the space form 7:30!
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Sophia Lee Georgas is a Sydney-based visual artist with a Bachelor of Fine Art (2019) and a Master of Fine Art (2021) from the National Art School, Sydney. Georgas has been awarded the British School of Rome Residency 2023 by The National Art School and has been selected as a finalist in the Waverly Art Award 2022 and Fisher’s Ghost Art Award 2022, the Grace Cossington Smith Art Award 2021, and the Clyde & Co Art Award 2020.
She attributes her art practice to her fixation with architectural structures dedicated to higher beings from her transpersonal experiences as a child in Greek Orthodox churches. She attempts to render these buildings into painterly ‘thought-forms’ as their perfectly aesthetic and idealistic forms transformed into symbolic elements on her canvas. Vast cavernous spaces, altars and pulpits are translated in colourful and geometric shapes, yet their fragmentation offers an alternate view of these sacred spaces. Dream-like in quality, Georgas’ works offer an alternate scene, one filled with the imperfections of reality.
